- As Principal and Senior Structural Engineer, Mr. Cahill is responsible for co-management of the Professional Corporation including general management of day to day operations as well as various structural projects; provides internal coordination and communication between the corporation, external consultants and the client; prepares planning and scheduling of various projects; provides quality assurance for structural work.

- As Manager of the Structural discipline, Mr. Cahill was responsible for general administration and management of day to day operations of the Structural department staff and projects; provided internal coordination and communication between the structural section and other disciplines; provided quality assurance for structural work.
- As Project Manager, Mr. Cahill was responsible for proper and complete communication with clients to assure thorough understanding of client’s requirements, objectives and project scope. Reviewed Project details with project team and subconsultants as required to provide a thorough understanding of the project scope, design approach, schedule of deliverables and budget requirements.
- Technical responsibilities included structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures for a variety of facilities including health care, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial / warehouses, office buildings, commercial, and water resource / hydroelectric power project structures. Provided team leadership for all aspects of structural projects including supervisory work of other engineers.

- As a Senior Structural Designer and CAD Operator, Mr. Plante is responsible for development of and preparation of Structural Contract drawings for the various structural Projects throughout the office. Mr. Plante assists the Project Structural Engineers as necessary with the development of computer design models and project details to complete the Projects on-time and within budget.
- In concert, Mr. Plante assists with the necessary coordination and communication between the various Clients / Consultants and in-house staff to assist the Project Engineer as the Project proceeds through design and construction.
- As part of the Construction Administration, Mr. Plante assists the Project Team with review of the various Construction Phase submittals and assists the Project Engineer with timely responses to field related questions during Construction.
- Additional, Mr. Plante assists with the development of internal drawing standards and the general quality assurance / control as it relates to the production of structural documents.
Mr. Plante is experienced in REVIT, AutoCAD and Microstation computer platforms for document production and Project delivery.

- Throughout the progressive and diverse drafting, detailing and design experience gained while employed by the former Stetson Dale / Harza Engineering / MWH for almost 19 years, Mr. Plante developed the necessary tools and skill set to become a proficient and valuable resource as a Structural Designer and CAD Operator.
- During his entire employment while at this firm, Mr. Plante worked in the structural engineering department that included, and ultimately was managed by, Mr. Douglas Cahill, current Principal and co-manager of IESolutions.
